Beetroot Powder
Beetroot powder has been available for a long time and used extensively as a natural food colourant in fishing baits, particularly effective in those wishing to seek a red fishmeal type bait, also used in well-known commercially branded 'RED' products.
Containing Betanin, the naturally occurring compound that gives it the deep red colour, Beetroot Powder is also a source of Betaine, and a naturally good source of Vitamins and Minerals including Vitamin C, B9 (Folate), as well as a good source of Iron, Magnesium, and Potassium.

We suggest a dosage of 10-20g per kilo of feed produced with experimental levels upwards of 30g per kilo dependant on how ‘deep red’ you wish to make the baits.
Tip, mix 70% Paprika with 12.5% Breadcrumb, 10% Demerara Sugar, 5% Cod Liver Oil, and 2.5% Beetroot powder, you may be surprised at what you have!
